Cartoons have been a staple medium for TV shows and movies throughout the years, and acts as an incredibly charming way to portray characters and the world around them. With cartoon people, of course comes their cartoon best friends. Some of the most iconic and remembered cats in history have come straight from our TV screens, so we've decided to shout-out our very favourite animated kitties throughout the years. Check out our list below to see these paw-some pussycats, and which Tilly & Ted meal we think they'd vibe with.
1. Garfield
As one of the most iconic cartoons of all time, it's certainly no surprise that Garfield would make our list. He first popped up in the comic strip 'Jon' in 1976, before it was renamed 'Garfield' the following year, with the orange cat becoming the titular character. Him and his friends then got their very own TV specials in 1982, with many more shows and movies following on throughout the years, in different animation styles. Garfield has captured the hearts of both children and adults alike with his sarcastic wit and charming humour, making him an immediately recognisable character, and one cool cat indeed.
For this sweet and sardonic feline, our Chicken with Beef Chunks is the ultimate whisker-licking delight, as it's designed to be a taste sensation, whilst containing all the nutrients needed for lasagna-loving kitties.
2. Tom
'Tom and Jerry' has been a staple on our screens for a long time now, and has definitely earned its place as a classic cartoon. The duo of zany characters delight children all over the world with their hilarious rivalry, as their limited speech allows the story to translate universally. The tenacious tomcat first appeared in 1940, alongside his witty rodent counterpart. Tom's persistent nature, despite his constant short-comings, provides endless laughs, and he has truly has become one of the most iconic cats on the screen. Tom continues to appear in TV shows, video games, and movies to this day, showing even the older cartoon cats can still make a splash in today's media.

3. The Cat in the Hat
If you're looking for not only the most iconic cartoon cat, but one of the best dressed as well, it's got to be The Cat in the Hat. The Cat in the Hat first appeared in the Dr Seuss book of the same name, in 1957. After the roaring success of the rhyme based children's book, he has been seen in many different iterations across our screens. Most notably, the 2003 live-action movie, and the 2010 series: 'The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!'. This series is still running to this day, and teaches children various life-lessons through the well loved titular kitty. This crazy cat has been at the forefront of pop culture for almost 70 years, and continues to be a cult classic today.
We reckon this cheeky chap would love our Chicken with Carrot Pâté meal, to help his creative juices flow with its delicious and unique flavours. It is also simply bursting with superfoods and goodness, to help pussycats grow and keep tummies purring.
4. Tigger
If we're talking about iconic cartoons, Disney is a clear front runner for memorable and timeless characters. One of our favourite members of the Disney universe has to be Tigger. The bouncy tiger first appeared in the 1928 novel 'The House at Pooh Corner', as one of Winnie the Pooh's many friends. He then first appeared on our screens in 'Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day' in 1968, showcasing his now iconic voice and energetic movements. He has since become a classic icon for Disney, and has appeared in countless movies and TV shows, such as 'House of Mouse', and 'The Tigger Movie'. Tigger is well loved by fans of all ages for his sweet and silly nature, and upbeat personality, contrasting some of the more peaceful characters.
We think Tigger would have the best time with our Chicken with Salmon Delight, as it has a hearty and yummy flavour profile to help young kittens grow. There's nothing like a delicious meal to help your cat learn, explore, and live their best bouncy lives.
5. Puss in Boots
Puss in Boots is a newer cartoon cat, but one that has taken the our screens by storm. Although based off of the classic fairy-tale that dates back to 1950, the most iconic version has to be the puss from the Shrek universe. First popping up in 'Shrek 2', Puss was immediately a fan favourite to return. He has since received lots more film appearances in the Shrek series, as well as his own series of movies. He also dominated TV with the 2015 series: 'The Adventures of Puss in Boots'. His grand demeanour and flashy boots make him a truly classic cat, and we can't wait for even more Puss in Boots in the future.
