Playful kittens make some of the most fantastic felines, so it's no wonder that some of the most popular cat breeds are some of the most playful. These cats can make paw-some additions to family homes, where kitties can play with everyone and get plenty of regular stimulation and exercise.
Our first top pick for playful cats has to be the Maine Coon, as this beautiful breed is so well-tempered and versatile. Want a best-friend to keep up with your adventures? We've got the cats for you. We've found some of the most high energy kitties there are, who will explore the great wilderness with you, and give you a run for your money on your next hike.
One of the most energetic cats are undoubtably Siberian Forest cats. These long-haired felines are built for the outdoors and staying warm, so are perfect to bring along for your travels. They aren't everyone's best friend immediately however, and you may need to take time to bond and grow close to your new pal. Ragamuffins are also fabulous felines for anyone looking for a more mellow cat. These kitties have lovely looking coats, and are great family cats due to their sweet and loving natures. They are comfy lap cats, who prefer curling up with their owner over running through fields. We've got the American Shorthair up next, who are a very well-rounded cat breed who adapt to most homes well. They love to chill out with their humans, but aren't too clingy. We also couldn't go without mentioning the Himalayan, who are a very popular breed for a reason.
