Happy 2025 everyone! 2024 was certainly a top year for us, and we can't deny that plenty of wags and woofs made it so. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us last year by enjoying our yummy meals and exploring our range of recipes and flavours. We're buzzing to make even more tummies happy in 2025, because this year, your pet definitely deserves a seat at the table. Let's celebrate everything 2024 the best way we know how: by counting down the most popular dog breeds throughout the year.

Find out which barks were best, who made our paw-some picks, and which Tilly & Ted meal we think best matches their vibe.

#10 - Boxer

Starting off our list strong is the the ever-so playful Boxer. Boxer dogs adore to have fun and play with their humans, so make fantastic pets for anyone looking for high-energy pups to keep them on their toes. They are also incredibly loyal and protective, so make fab family dogs who will shower you with unconditional love. These sweet-natured pups are all-round good pets, so it makes total sense that they were one of the most popular breeds of 2024. We love a goofy and kind-hearted Boxer, and it seems like the rest of the UK does too.

For the Boxer, it's got to be our Chicken Dinner with Country Vegetables, as this tasty and hearty meal is loved by all. Everyone loves a classic, whether it's a tail-wagging Chicken Dinner, or a loyal and good-natured Boxer dog.

Up next is another plucky and playful pup. Who do you think this breed could be?

#9 - Jack Russell Terrier

For even more high-energy playtime, the Jack Russell Terrier is a shoe-in. This breed loves to run around and have fun with humans and other pups, and loves to tackle a challenge. They are very tenacious and alert dogs, and will stop at nothing to complete what they have set out to. However, they are also bundles of love and affection, and make great companions to those who can match their energy. They are very loyal, so fit right in with outdoorsy and active families who love a little waggy friend to take along on their adventures.

We recommend our Salmon Traybake for Jack Russell Terriers, as this meal provides all the energy and fuel you could need, alongside hearty and delicious flavours. This dish is well suited for a dog that is just as unique and playful as its flavours are.

Moving onto a sweet breed, who captures hearts all across the UK with their loveable nature and adorable looks.

#8 - Dachshund

Who doesn't love a Dachshund? This breed has been popular for many years now, not just in 2024, for it's small and sweet stature and kind and gentle temperament. This pocket-size pal fits in well with most families, as it is loyal and playful and doesn't usually have intense care needs compared to other breeds. Dachshunds do still need regular exercise and stimulation however, and can become boisterous if their favourite human is getting attention. If you can give this breed the love and play they deserve, they can be the paw-fect pet to complete your home.

Our Turkey Loaf is a favourite choice for Dachshunds, as the delicious flavour is sure to suit such a beloved dog. This meal provides a unique profile for any passionate pup, whilst being packed full of superfoods to keep bodies healthy, and hair shiny and soft.

Let's move to our next breed, a charming and protective pup who will be the best companion around.

#7 - Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Another fantastic family dog here is the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The Staffie, although tough in appearance, is actually one of the sweetest and most loyal breeds, making it a wonderful pet around children. They need plenty of exercise and outdoor time, but if well-trained, will remain loyal and alert to you. Staffies can struggle with socialising with other dogs, but as long as you know your pup well, you should have no trouble getting them to listen to you and follow commands. These dogs are a staple of many families, and continue to fight the negative stereotype of the breed with their loveable natures and gentle approaches.

For this hearty breed, we recommend our Roast Dinner to keep their tummy happy and body fuelled. This dish is full of powerful flavour and contains a classic combo of yummy protein and zingy veg, to pack every breed full of superfoods and happiness.

Our next entry on our list is a larger breed that loves playtime and running, as well as chilling out after a long day.

#6 - Border Collie

The playful and active Border Collie loves lots of exercise and playing with their favourite humans. They are also very smart and trainable, meaning they love to apply themselves to a challenge and explore new tasks. This breed matches well to an adventurous and outdoorsy person, and make fantastic travel companions due to their hardy nature. They also love their family very deeply, and make very strong bonds with those close to them. Even if they aren't the most cuddly, you'll know their love for you is always there. If you can keep up with this dog's lively spirit, then it may be the adventurous pup for you.

Fuel energetic pups with our Chicken Paella dish, as this protein packed meal is sure to put a spring in your dog's step. Border Collies will adore the zingy flavours, and this meal's superfoods will keep them healthy and happy through your next adventure.

At #5, we have another classic breed that has been making lists for a long time. Can you guess who it is?

#5 - Golden Retriever

The Golden Retriever has been a popular pet choice throughout the years, for their easy and gentle natures, that fit in great with families of all shapes and sizes. They are well-rounded dogs who are easily trainable, so are also great for first-time dog owners. This pup is fiercely loyal and a total sweetheart, so is great around children, and will take all the pets and cuddles that come their way. Other dogs don't tend to be a problem either, and as long as they're trained, Golden Retrievers can happily adjust to new waggy additions into the family.

Our Beef Stew is paw-fect for any sweet Golden Retrievers, as the hearty and tasty flavours are sure to bliss out your pup in a second. This meal will keep dogs happy and healthy, and stimulate even the most discerning of canine palates.

Counting down to the top, we're looking at a breed with a fabulous coat, and a personality that is just as fabulous to match.

#4 - Cockapoo

Cockapoos are sweet and sassy pups, who love both playtime and cuddletime equally. This Cocker Spaniel and Poodle crossbreed has become incredibly popular in recent years, due to their adorable nature and looks. Their curly coats and small size make them undeniably cute, and all-in-all they are relatively low-maintenance. As long as you can give a Cockapoo regular exercise, stimulating playtime, and lots of affection, they tend to be easy-going pets that fit into most homes well. Just make sure to keep on top of grooming, as their gorgeous coats need to be well-looked after too.

If you've got a playful Cockapoo to feed, our Duck Terrine is definitely a go-to. This yummy meal is bursting with goodness and zingy flavour, so will keep your bouncy dogs grounded and satisfied.

Speaking of Cocker Spaniels and Poodles, our next breed is one of these popular two. But which one is it?

#3 - Cocker Spaniel

Of course, the Cocker Spaniel has to make our list. It makes sense that this breed was used to create the Cockapoo, as it has many wonderful and desirable traits for the paw-fect pet. This dog is cheerful and active, loving to engage with their human for some stimulating playtime. They love running, puzzles, toys, and more, so are great for active humans with time to spare. They are also incredibly sweet and silly dogs, who will adore cuddling up with you and showing you how much they love you. Just like the Cockapoo, they have beautiful curly coats can be ever so shiny and soft. Just remember to keep up with their grooming needs, so that you don't have a bad hair day on your hands.

Our Lamb Kebab matches the Cocker Spaniel's vibe, as it contains all the protein and superfoods to fuel big adventures, whilst being wonderfully tasty and satisfying. This is one recipe that's bound to have your pup begging for more.

At number #2, we have another small pup whose loveable nature matches its sweet appearance. This dog will tug on your heartstrings and keep you on your toes, all at the same time.

#2 - French Bulldog

What a cutie! The French Bulldog is beloved by many for its adorable face and small size, in addition to its easily-trainable and loyal nature. These pups love to play, cuddle, and goof around with their humans, so make lovely companions for owners of all ages. They have moderate exercise needs and require less run-arounds than more active breeds, so can be a great fit for older or less physically able humans. Apart from being incredibly stylish, Frenchies are also generally sweet and chill, unless they want attention from their favourites that is. We think the Frenchie is well deserving of their spot here, and will be ranking highly throughout 2025 as well.

For your loveable Frenchie, try our Fisherman's Pie dish, as this fish-based delight is suited to such a unique and lovely dog. This is also a chicken-less recipe, so is paw-fect for pups with allergies, or just as an oceanic feasts for doggy tastebuds.

Who could be #1? This dog breed is a no-brainer for the top spot on our list, and has been seen in UK households all throughout the year. Give it up for the most popular dog of 2024!

#1 - Labrador Retriever

I think we all could have guessed who'd be taking the top spot on our list, it is of course, the wonderful Labrador Retriever. This dog is beloved by all for its super sweet nature and versatility. Labradors check all the boxes for the paw-fect pet: good with kids, easily trainable, loveable, playful, and super cute! Their beautiful coats and adorable faces make them an absolute champ, and their easy-going natures mean they slot into any family well, even those with other animals. The Labrador's main drawback can only be that they have a cheeky streak that means, especially puppies, like to get into mischief in the pursuit of play and adventure. But as long as you are prepared for it, even their crazy antics can melt hearts and have everyone bringing home their very own Labrador buddy.

Our Chicken Happy Puppy Meal is our star choice for Labrador puppies who need flavour and fuel for all that energy and love. Packed full of protein and delicious flavour, this is a meal for pups on-the-go, who still make time for dinner with their best friends.
